There was a cold snap in Ottawa and now all I want to do is knit. However, I have no business knitting and someone should just confiscate my needles right now because of this:
Both socks are:
- the same colour check
- the same width check
- the same length check
- have 2 sets of increases check
Wait a minute...where's the other heel? Oh, well the other heel gets knit after the sock is done. Do you see where I knit in the waste yarn? Wait, where's the part where I knit in the waste yarn?
Last night I discovered that I knit the increases on the front part of the sock when they are supposed to be on the side with the heel. Luckily I didn't get too far into my "fake isle" before I realized that I have to rip back to before the increases and do them again. Bleh.
Better luck next time! (Or maybe the time after that. I seem to have similar problems with socks. I rip a lot of socks.)

That's so easy to do - you get into the knitting groove and just go right on past.... How are the wedding plans coming?

Don't feel bad. One of my knitting buddies just finished crocheting the edges of her beautiful (and difficult pattern) vest----hmmm something was amiss. When she tried it on, the left front was misshapen and a lot longer and wider than the right front. It seemed a perfect match before the edging???? She blocked and reblocked to no avail. Ripped out the edging to no avail. By the time she had ripped the entire left front, she had decided she hated the vest. And is now making a totally new and different vest out of different yarn. Scarey.
